Ms Tang came to Canada in the late 1980s to study architecture, interior design, and urban planning. Graduating in 1990 from University of Manitoba with Master of Architecture, she has accumulated 20 + years of working experience in Canada, Hong Kong and China. Lu is a registered architect (MAIBC) in British Columbia - incidentally the first female Chinese-born Architect from China to be eligible to practise Architecture in BC, Canada. She also hold NCARB certificate, which permits her to become licenced in any city in North America, including U.S and Mexico under NAFTA and other reciprocal agreement. Ms. Tang's unique mix of talents and professional experience, exceptional knowledge and skills are combined to create a list of business services that meet the needs of individual clients.
Ms. Tang is a member of First Shaughnessy Design Advisory Panel, representing AIBC and is working closely and actively with Planning Department of CIty of Vancouver on many new projects. Prior to founding Lu Tang Architecture, Ms. Tang was working in the largest architectural firm in Canada IBI Group Architects. She loved her job as a senior designer and project Architect. But she came to realize that there are bigger dreams that her job could not fulfill. Ms. Tang is also interested in real estate development and investment. She has previously worked as a Development Manager in Polygon Homes Ltd., a well-known and highly respected residential developer in Vancouver and, also as Development Manager in New Rank International in Hong Kong. It is the ultimate long-term goal that Lu Tang Architechture as well as Tang & Harmony Group of companies contribute locally and globally. In the spirit of serving others, Ms. Tang pours her energy into her community and balances the growth of her business with care and professionalism.
